Don't good people go to heaven?
The Bible says no one is good enough on their own, and that salvation is a gift of grace through faith, not a reward for being good.
Jesus said that even an angry word makes us answerable to God. Paul wrote that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. If being good were the way, nobody would make it.
That is why the gospel is good news: eternal life is a gift, received by trusting Jesus, not earned.
