How can a loving God send people to hell?
The Bible says God takes no pleasure in anyone's death and gave His own Son so that no one has to perish. Judgment is real because God is just; rescue is offered because God is love.
A good judge does not ignore evil. The Bible says God is both just and loving, and that the cross is where both meet: Jesus took the judgment our sin deserves, so that God can forgive and still be just.
Jesus said the eternal fire was prepared for the devil and his angels, not for people. God pleads with people to turn and live.
11Tell them, ‘“As I live,” says the Lord Yahweh, “I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn, turn from your evil ways! For why will you die, house of Israel?”’
